OOIDA works hard to protect Owner Operator rights and provides important tools to Owner Operators. The mission of the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association, Inc. is to serve owner-operators, small fleets and professional truckers; to work for a business climate where truckers are treated equally and fairly; to promote highway safety and responsibility among all highway users; and to promote a better business climate and efficiency for all truck operators. As an Owner Operator fleet, Star Line believes in the work that OOIDA is doing for their members.

The National Private Truck Council is the only trade association in the United States devoted exclusively to the interests of the private corporate trucking fleet industry and its professional practitioners. The NPTC represents a cross-section of US organizations ranging in size from family-owned small businesses and town utility fleets to large fleets. We believe in striving for 'best practice' in every function of our company and the NPTC provides Star Line with tools and information that help us to strive for best practice in a number of areas, from safety to equipment purchase recommendations.
